A tongue web piercing (also known as a marley piercing, or tongue frenulum piercing) is a type of body piercing under the tongue that pierces the frenulum, or webbing that attaches to the bottom of the tongue.  This type of body piercing can be performed easily, it is considered a high risk for rejection over the long-term.

The type of body jewelry worn in these piercings can range from captive bead rings, horseshoe barbells, or curved barbells of short length.  The gauge for web piercings is usually 20g up to 16g  with the jewelry matching the appropriate size desired.  Healing time for web piercings is approximately 2 to 8 weeks.
