Navel piercing process

In body piercing, one of the most popular choices for women is the navel piercing.  This piercing consists of a piercing made either above or below the actual belly button (piercing through the actual navel is rarely done and requires a protruding belly button).   This piercing is done with forceps and straight piercing needle and usually heals completely in less than six months time with proper aftercare.   The jewelry inserted is commonly a 14g curved 316L Surgical Stainless Steel or pure titanium barbell at least 1/2 of an inch in length and large ball ends to allow for any swelling that may occur during initial healing.
